Amazon still has one of my favorite kitchen gadgets on sale for a stellar price! Grab the Presto 23-Quart Pressure Canner and Cooker for just $70.97 Shipped (Reg. $110). I got this sucker for Christmas (and I think it was more than $70) and I love it! I wish I had time to use it every week. If you’re a casual canner who does fruit and jams during the summer and want to make the next step in canning, this Pressure Canner is for you. I did a ton of research before buying mine is this is the best bang for your buck. If you’re local and interested in canning, let me know, we’ll have a date!
Why do you need a pressure canner? Anything low acid (non fruits) needs to be cooked in a pressure canner to make it safe enough to be shelf stable. Can your veggies, meats, soups, and beans all by yourself! Canning your own beans is amazing.. it costs just pennies/jar! I also canned deer meet that my dad brought home over the winter. I love my pressure canner and I highly recommend the Presto 23 qt. Grow, make and preserve your own food!
